Hakka Museum
The LiouDuai Hakka Museum recently opened in Pingtung, in the southeast region of Taiwan.
The Hakka are one of the ethnic groups that live in Taiwan. They moved from China to Taiwan approximately 350 years ago.
Recently opened, the LiouDuai Hakka Museum is located on 20 hectares of land. The LiouDuai complex includes a representative Hakka village, a fruit tree garden, botanical gardens, four major plazas, a hotel, a typical paddy field and irrigation system, and museum buildings that display Hakka historical relics.
In addition, LiouDuai contains a state-of-the-art performance hall that seats up to 600 visitors. The sound system was designed by Harry Chen of Taiwan's Teamwork Consulting Company. Mr. Chen, a long-time Rane dealer, was awarded the project after a competitive bid process that included dealers from Soundcraft and Yamaha.
A single zone is used for the hall's main sound system, supporting live music, theater performances, and educational presentations. The main system includes three Rane DEQ 60L Graphic Equalizers, one Rane RPM 26Z Programmable Multiprocessor, one Rane RPM 2M Programmable Multiprocessor, one Allen & Heath ML5000-32 console, QSC amplifiers, and Turbosound loudspeakers
The RPM 26Z is configured in stereo, with 2 analog inputs connected to the mixing console. Feedback suppression, delays, parametric EQ, level and limiting are all performed by the RPM 26Z and the RPM 2M.
Beyond the main performance hall, audio can be routed to different areas of the museum complex that share the primary broadcast system. Overall hall and external zone equalization is performed by the DEQ 60L Graphic Equalizers.
