Terry has played with some of the greatest names in country music, including Dottie West, Kenny Rogers, Ricky Skaggs, Reba McEntire, Ray Price, Joe Nichols, and Travis Tritt. The talented instrumentalist has won 4 CMA Awards, 8 Academy Awards (including Instrumental Group Of The Year), 1 Grammy Award (Instrumental Of The Year), and has been nominated twice for the CMA's coveted Musician Of The Year award. With more than 15 years of experience using ear monitors on stage, Terry recently began using the Rane MM 42 Personal Monitor Processor. "I use Future Sonic ear monitors that have a lower-than-typical impedance. The MM 42 has made a huge difference in my live experience. For one thing, the extra power has helped incredibly, complementing the low impedance of the Future Sonics. But the best part of the MM 42 Is the sound quality improvement it gives me. It's so smooth, extremely transparent, and the EQ is just right." Currently touring with Joe Nichols, Terry also uses a Rane C4 Quad Compressor / Limiter. Compressors #1 and #2 are linked together for his stage mix, and #3 and #4 are linked together for his steel guitar output. Crisp adds: "I can't say enough about Rane gear. My sound engineer and I took these units into the studio and compared them to (much!) more expensive gear such as the Que 8 System, Amek, dbx, Neve, Valley People, and others.
