This state of the art motion picture facility recently opened in New York City. The primary screening room features Rane gear in a sound system designed by Andy Condon.

Deluxe Entertainment Services Group, one of the most respected names in the motion picture and television industry, recently opened their first facility in New York. The new facility includes a Film Processing Lab, a Post Production Lab, and a proprietary EFILM® Digital Intermediate Facility used to digitally correct/process scanned film negatives. Ronald O. Perelman, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Tribeca Film Festival co-founder Jane Rosenthal, and Ethan & Joel Coen were all present at the facility's ribbon-cutting ceremony in April 2008. Andy Condon (dba Acoustical Symmetry) did the interior acoustics design of the two primary theater suites in the facility. The Screening Theater is a fully equipped room capable of handling Dolby EX, Dolby Digital, DTS and SDDS soundtracks, as well as double system playback from a SAN or other source. The projection booth contains two Kinoton FP30 ECII Film Projectors and one Barco DP90P High Definition Video Projector. Audio Source switching is handled by a custom Deluxe router. All B Chain Audio Processing (including Crossovers, Inter-Driver Delays, Equalization, Level Control, Surround and Video Processing Compensation Delays) is done using two Rane RPM 88 Programmable Multiprocessors and seven Rane RPM 26z Multiprocessors, all shared between the two theater rooms. Control of the projectors in the Screening Theater -- including footswitch-controlled dowser blinking, masking motors, audio level/solos/mutes, source selection, Dolby CP650 Cinema Processor functions, and sync setup -- is under Crestron control accessible from touchpanels located in the theater and the projection booth. "We're now putting in a 100mm physical fader as a tactile Master Level Control. The Crestron processor will detect when the fader is active and constantly poll the group master in the RPM 88 to provide accurate screen display of level."
