Eddie Def (aka 'The Last Kreep', bottom left) started out as a young kid getting in trouble for trying to scratch his mom's records on the all-in-one stereo.
After much pleading and begging, she finally gave in a bought him one turntable. His art in scratching developed because it took another two whole summers before he got the second turntable.
For the next few years, Eddie Def was a mobile DJ doing all the typical weddings, parties, and dances. He later started to DJ for several local rappers and got involved with David Paul, who is known for Bomb hip hop label. Paul had Eddie Def, only 15 years of age, playing at all the Bay Area night clubs.
Shortly after, Eddie Def hooked up with DJ Quest (top and bottom right) and DJ Cue to form the Bullet Proof Scratch Hamsters (top left). They became well known for the break records (Hamster Breaks) and the Hamster Switch that is now on many mixers. Eddie Def has also worked on many projects such as HempLords, The Good Scratching Record, Space Breaks, DMT, and El Stew.
Eddie Def still lives in Northern California still busy in the lab.
They both use the Rane TTM 56.
