Multichannel Shelf Filter


In all but one respect, the functionality of the Shelf: Multichannel block is identical to that of a standard Halogen Shelf filter block. The only difference is that you can add up to 80 input and output pairs. All channels are processed identically based on a common set of parameters.

The block is used in applications where a number of channels require the same filtering. An Example is when an AEC reference and room require the same processing.

How to Use
Adding the Block to Your System
  1. Click the Processing tab to open the Processing Workspace.
  2. In the palette area, click the DSP tab.
  3. Expand the Filters category of blocks.
  4. Click and drag the Shelf:Multichannel block into your Processing Map.
  5. Wire it into your system in the appropriate location.
  6. (Optional) Customize the names of the block and the input and output node by clicking their current name and then typing the custom name in the text box that appears. Click the X to save the name.
  7. Click on the <Add> icon to add additional inputs and outputs.
  8. tip: Holding the shift key when you drag the part onto the workspace allows you to directly enter the number of channels.

Shelf Filter Block

UI Element Purpose
Input node Connection point for wiring an input to the Shelf Block. Each input channel is routed to the opposing output channel through a shelving filter set.
Output node Connection point for wiring an output to the Shelf Block.
<Add> Input/Output Click to add another Input/Output pair of nodes, or wire to the <Add> node to automatically create a new channel.

Properties are identical to the standard Halogen Shelf Block.
