Installing MP25 or MP26 Drivers on Windowsby Zach Stone, Rane Corporation
Plug the MP25 or MP26 directly into a USB port on your computer. (Do not plug it into a USB hub or splitter). Put the install disc that came with your unit into your computer's CD-ROM drive. On a Windows computer, click the 'Open folder to view files' option that automatically shows up.
If this window does not show up, click the Start menu in the lower left corner of your desktop, click on Computer, and open your CD-Rom drive.
Once you see the contents of the install disc, open the windows folder. Double click the Rane MP25 / MP26 Setup file and follow the prompts to install the driver.
Note: If you don't have the install disc you can download the install file by going to the MP25 page or the MP26 page. It's also a good idea to check this page in case there is a newer version than what came with your mixer. You will want to install the newest version. Click on the MP2* ASIO Driver for Windows link relevant to your 32-bit or 64-bit operating system to download the install file. If you aren't sure which one your computer has, click Start > Control Panel > System > System Type > and it will tell you either 32-bit or 64-bit. After clicking on the 32-bit or 64-bit download link, choose to 'Save' the file. This may appear different depending on your version of Windows or your browser defaults:
A window may pop up (depending on browser defaults) to choose where to save the file on your computer. I would suggest saving it to your Desktop so it's easy to find after it's been downloaded.
To do this. click the 'Browse Folders' tab in the lower left corner to open the folder hierarchy, click on the Desktop icon, and press 'Save'.
Once the download is complete, click the 'Open Folder' tab and then double click this RaneAsioMp setup file to install the driver. Have your MP25 or MP26 connected via a USB cable before you install the driver. That is it:) |
